Last Week =( =(
Hello all,
The final stretch of the season is going to be busy. With this summer weather I appreciate everyone’s commitment they have shown and anticipate us needing to be flexible.
Attached is a report I ran with our Top Times from Lakeland League and underlined in red are swimmers who made the cut.
Monday, August 3 – Swim Clinic and Rescheduled Ramapo Championships
We will hold one morning swim clinic:
- Swim Clinic: 8:30–9:30 AM
- Location: Tom’s Lake
The Rescheduled Ramapo Championships will take place that evening at PV Park. Entries and declarations are now closed.
- Arrival and Scratches Due: 4:30 PM
- Session One Warm-up #1: 4:45 PM (Wayne)
- Session One Meet Start: 5:30 PM (?)
- Session Two Warm-up: 6:00 PM
- Session Two Meet Start: 6:30 PM
We will follow the same session and lane assignments that were previously provided. Events are published on Swimtopia and later today I can send out a report on the lineup but it will be similar to last Monday's.
Lakeland A Qualification- (Report attached)
Monday is also when the Lakeland League is expected to hold its qualifying-time adjustment meeting. The “A” standards are generally adjusted with the goal of having approximately 40 swimmers throughout the league qualify in each stroke, event, age group, and gender. Once those adjustments are finalized, we should have a clearer picture of everyone who qualified for Saturday.
Essentially, majority of the time if you are 2-3 second within an A cut time anticipate the cut time to move.
Tuesday, August 4 – Regular Practice and End-of-Year Party
We will follow our regular Tuesday morning practice schedule:
- Novice: 8:30–9:15 AM
- Pre-Senior: 9:00–10:00 AM
- Senior: 10:00–11:00 AM
Our end-of-year party is scheduled for Tuesday evening:
- Time: 5:00–8:00 PM
- Location: Toms Lake
Additional party information will be shared once everything is finalized due the the Wayne Recreation Center matter.
Wednesday, August 5 – Swim Clinic and Final Home Meet
We will hold one morning swim clinic:
