Head Coach: Matt Kane
Coach Kane enters his 1st year as the Head Coach for the Wayne Waves. He coached for five years as an Assistant Coach for the Men's and Women's Ramapo College Swim Team from 2017-2022.
Coach Kane's journey as a coach extends beyond his role on Wayne Waves. Previously, he was an assistant coach with the Jersey Flyers Aquatic Swim Club (JFAC), where the team placed 3rd overall at sectionals. Additionally, he is the current coach of the Lakeland West Milford High School swim team and coaches for the West Milford High School Soccer team, where he continues to inspire and guide athletes.
Coach Kane earned his undergraduate degree in Health Education with a concentration in Public Health and a minor in Psychology from Montclair State University in 2013. He then achieved his master's degree in Leadership and Public Administration from Centenary University in 2022.
Kane attended the ASCA (America Swimming Coaches Association) in 2020 and 2021 in the everlong pursuit of improving his skills and knowledge. Coach Kane's hobbies include disc golf, competing in endurance-based competitions, and hanging out with his family and niece.
