Good Afternoon all,

Attached is the lineup for tonight’s meet!

Swimming in this pool can be a lot of fun. Please note that last year, swimmers were required to start in the water from the wall rather than using then diving in shallow water.

I also meant to write regarding our two recent defeats against ELAC and Green Pond. Although the final scores did not go our way, I thought our swimmers competed very well in both meets and did not make it easy for the other team.

The goal is always to win, but that particular week also happened to fall during championship season for many of our club swimmers. I have no ill will toward club tapers, championship commitments, or family vacations. The fact that we have so many talented swimmers competing in different places is part of what makes the Wayne Waves who we are.

It also created opportunities for other swimmers to compete in the first heat, take on larger roles, and contribute to the team. Those experiences are important and help our swimmers grow.

Tonight, we face another tough opponent. However, I take after the Ted Lasso philosophy that success is not always measured solely by wins and loses. It is helping every one be the best version of themselves and enjoying the moments. I will always believe until I see the final result.
