Good Morning Wayne Waves Families,

We are entering one of the busiest and most important stretches of our season. Next week, we have three dual meets in three days, followed by the Coaches Choice Invitational and the Ramapo Championships on Monday, July 27.

I recognize that volunteering will never be equal, and I wholeheartedly appreciate the parents who have volunteered at almost every meet. My hope is that other parents read my words and step up to help us during this busy week. I believe in people, I always have.

Making up meets is never easy, especially with only three weeks left in the season. =( 

Tuesday and Wednesday’s meets will help determine the Lakeland Division Champion. Every available swimmer matters. As we have said throughout the season, meets are often decided by filling the lanes, so please declare your swimmer’s availability as soon as possible. Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays Meets should be open!

Coaches Choice Invitational

I hope to have the Coaches Choice event posted on SwimTopia soon. We are currently waiting for the host team to send the meet file.

This is a coach-selected meet, but selections will be made from the swimmers who declare that they are available. Please declare once the event is posted. You never know when your swimmer may be selected based on availability, events, and team needs.

This meet moves very quickly. Each event consists of only one heat, there are no swim-ups, and selected swimmers may compete in one individual event and one relay.

2026 Ramapo Championships

The Ramapo Championships are for swimmers who participated in our Ramapo League schedule, meet the conference eligibility requirements, and are selected by the coaching staff. The SwimTopia event is not ready yet, but please declare your swimmer’s availability as soon as it is posted.

Wayne Warm-up: 4:30–4:50 PM
Wayne Lanes: 6, 7, and 8
Meet Start: 5:30 PM

Session 2 – 11 & Older Swimmers

Events: 24–53

Wayne Waves will also be responsible for four timers, three awards volunteers, and one official during each session.

This is a demanding but exciting stretch of the season. We appreciate the commitment from our swimmers, families, coaches, and volunteers. Let’s finish strong and give ourselves the best opportunity to compete.

End of Year Party is, August 4th at Wayne Community Center.
