Wayne Waves Coaching Staff
Head Coach: Aimee LaSala
was a member of their swim team from the age of five until graduating
high school. She is also an alumni of Wayne Hills High School and was a Varsity
Swimmer for three years. Coach LaSala began life-guarding and teaching swim lessons when she was fifteen years old. She also has over 10 years experience as a life guard training instructor. Coach LaSala also shares her passion for swimming as a coach for her Special Olympics swim team, Team Hope. Coach LaSala is looking forward to meeting all our swimmers and to coaching a fantastic summer swim season.
Assistant Coach: Maddie Borowinski
After swimming for Wayne Waves since she was 8 years old, Coach Maddie joined out coaching staff last year. She is a member of the Varsity swim team Wayne Valley High School. Maddie credits Wayne Waves for launching her impressive swim career, in which she has broken several age group and high school records. She believes the rigors of swimming helped her to develop important life skills such as self-discipline, time management, endurance and determination. Coach Maddie also volunteers her time to help with Special Olympics Team Hope as well. Coach Maddie brings her swimming skills and passion for the sport to the Wayne Waves docks to help guide all of our swimmers in enjoying the sport of competitive summer swimming.
Assistant Coach: Hannah Valente
Coach Hannah is also returning this year as an assistant coach and active member of Wayne Waves Swim Team. Coach Hannah began swimming for Wayne Waves when she was in 5th grade. She has been on the Wayne Valley High School Swim Team for all 4 years and was a captain senior year. As Coach Hannah graduates from Wayne Valley High School this year, we will honor her as one of our Super Seniors. She will be attending William Paterson University in the fall as a Nursing Student. Coach Hannah is excited for another exciting summer swim season and is looking forward to seeing all our returning swimmers and welcoming our new swimmers to Wayne Waves!
